Marree is a small town in the north-eastern part of South Australia. It is located at the junction of the Oodnadatta Track and the Birdsville Track, two iconic outback routes. Based on the 2021 Australian Census, the population of Marree is approximately 65 people.

Depending on which state you are coming from will determine the type of terrain you’ll be driving on. While some of the roads to Marree are bitumen, others like the Oodnadatta Track, are still unsealed. That’s why it’s important to plan your route before you start your journey.
